Heard the Grace Kelly Quartet layin down some nice jazz in downtown Boston. This gal can REALLY PLAY the sax ... and only 17 years old! She should have a very successful career - if she can avoid the usual pitfalls of the industry.
Something besides motorcycles has been a big part of my life for several years ... that's a personal relationship with God thru Jesus Christ.
About 30 years ago I was a young man drifting through life with no particular purpose. Sounds attractive - right? Well the fact is I felt very alone and lost in life. Even though I had several friends and a wonderful family, its a big world out there. And I could not seem to find the peace that so many people were talking about back then.
I had talents that helped me make a name in the game of baseball, I even went on to play two seasons of semi-pro ball after high school. My father taught me about managing and making money. But the bottom line is, there was no contentment in those things. I needed more!
When I was 19 my older brother moved back to our area and began communicating with me again. I saw a very real change in him. For one thing, he seemed to have peace in HIS life - something I was longing for. I soon found out it was because he had become a 'born-again' Christian. Not one whom just started attending church. This guy was being changed from the inside out. It was real and radical.
Before long I sensed a need for experiencing God in MY life. I discovered my deepest needs could be met in relationship with God. I humbled myself and trusted Jesus Christ as my personal savior. WHAT AN AWESOME RIDE!
