I'm finally in space!

YES ... this is my first REAL blog. Actually, there was a previous effort at blogging - strictly an informative post linked to a church website. But this one is going to be a solid effort at sharing my life with anyone interested. My mom said its good to share.

Not that my life is all that interesting. I have lived in three states - four if one considers a 9-month stay with a friend
in South Carolina. I grew up in South Florida and now reside in the "vacationland" of Maine (at least that's what it says on our license plate). Can't move any further and stay in the states - unless I head for California. But the cooler climate of the Northeast has been a nice change.

Motorcycles have been a part of my entire adult life. I bought my first bike in High School and payed for it by working in a Caravel ice cream store. I have been addicted to bikes and ice cream ever since. When my wife and I started a family, I got a little nervous and sold my motorcycle. Guess I feared what might happen if I got in a wreck. But I only made it thru 18 months of withdrawls, then I traded my truck for a 750-four Honda. The rest is history ... been picking bugs out of my teeth ever since.

I love to ride! I can't quite explain the attraction. Its a feeling like no other! Maybe there is a deep psychological reason I NEED it - I don't know. I DO know that the cares of the world somehow seem less pressing when my senses are maxed with the sound of loud pipes, great sights, and the feeling of wind in my face. Add the embrace of my 'bride of 30 years' riding on the back, and its near bliss.
